What is Windows?
Windows is a software program that makes your personal computer (PC) easy to use windows is an operation system that integrates the software and hardware, which displays all the commands in the form of a menu. It lets you start whatever program you want to use and move, copy, delete files and folders. The operating system is different types of programs without operating system computer won't work at all. It provides general tools for fine running and managing your PC.
What is window 98?
Windows 98 is an operating system used for personal computer (PC). It is developed by Microsoft Corporation of U.S.A.
Find Files and Folders
This command is used to search or find out of any files. Folders or programs photos.
- Go to start button
- Click find
- Again click on files and folders
- Type the required name on the file name box
- Click on looking box select required drive (like local hard drives C:D: )etc.
- Click on find now button
- Then computer will be search you typed file name of folder.
To make new folder
- We can make new folder or file at the required drive or desktop screen.
- Right button click on desktop. Then click on new and choose folder.
- Type folder name which you want to keep.
- Then you can store file. Photos and other documents. (required documents)
Rename File
- Find out the file or folder where you want to rename.
- Right button click over that folder or file then choose rename
- Then there it may see the cursor and type over that name as you like
Deleting Object
When you no longer need an object you can delete it. Because deleting files and folder is pretty find thing. Windows provides a built in safety net called the Recycle Bin on your desktop.
- Go to start menu and choose window explorer.
- Open (C:) or (D:) Drive then click on (My documents )
Find out the menu and choose delete or right button click over that document and choose delete button.
- Then the computer will ask to you question "Are you sure want to delete? "
- Click on "Yes" to send it to the recycle bin.
Using Calculator
- Go to start - Click on Accessories - Then click calculator
- It is needed scientific calculator then click view menu and click on scientific or standard.
Copy File from hard disk to CD, Memory Card, Pen drive etc.
- Insert these drives from disk
- Select the file which you want to copy in the drive
- Select file, Photos or other documents then choose copy from edit menu.
Or (Ctrl+C)
- Then open drive from my computer.
- Click on Paste from edit menu.(Ctrl+V)
Multimedia
This option is used to pen Visual program in the computer.
- To open visual (CD drive) - Go to start button.
- Click on Accessories - Click on Entertainment
- Click on windows medial player - Click on file menu
- Click on open - Click on browse button
- Select D:E: or F: drive where is the sign (@)
- Click on MPEGAV - Then select film item
- Select all files - Click on open button
Background Screen saver Appearance and Setting
For Background
- Right button click on desktop area.
- Choose properties.
- Choose drive where you have kept picture (C: D: or other folder)
- Selected the picture and click on open and apply and ok.
For Screen saver
- Click on screen saver header.
- Choose any on screen save style
- If you need too type text then select 3d text
- Click on setting button then type the text
- Choose required options. Solid color or texture color
- Click on ok and choose time period and click on apply and ok.
Mouse Setting
- Click on start and choose setting
- Again Choose Control panel
- Double Click on mouse icon
- Then choose button header
- Again click on motion and choose either slow or fast
- Click on pointer header and choose mouse trail or not
- Click on apply button and ok
Start menu and Taskbar
If you need to set programs inside start menu then
- Go to start button - Choose setting
- Again choose taskbar - Then there appear a small dialog box
- Choose task bar options if you need
- Click on add button
- Click on browse - Choose program file
- Click on Ms- Office chooses exe. File - Click on next button
- Choose placement where to insert menu programs.
- Click on next again
- Click on finish button after all, Again click at ok button.
